The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) faces critical challenges with its current drone processing and visualization workflows. KRCS has recently invested in drones to enhance its disaster response and humanitarian operations, but the bundled drone processing software is nearing the end of its licensing period.
Implementing additional nodes for processing in tools like WebODM will add complexity to the system and strain existing resources. The proposed solutionaddress the financial, technical, and operational pain points of KRCS, ensuring that drone data can be processed, visualized, and shared efficiently, even with minimal GIS training and limited computing resources.

Catanduanes Connectivity and Mapping.
Digital Resilience with Catanduanes State University
Catanduanes State University (CatSU) is strengthening climate resilience and digital capacity across one of the Philippines’ most disaster-prone islands. Through Help.NGO’s Connectivity and Resilience Programme, supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS), CatSU now serves as a hub for satellite-enabled research and community engagement.
Working with Help.NGO and the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), the university’s ACE-HEMS programme uses drone mapping and satellite connectivity to monitor mangroves, support coastal communities, and promote sustainable aquaculture. The initiative addresses connectivity, training, and data accessibility gaps—empowering local researchers and institutions to apply technology for resilience and sustainable development.
